Terms of service
Last updated October 27, 2026
These terms cover your use of Fecto (“Fecto”, “we”, “us”): the website, the scan, AI answer snapshots, the Fecto MCP server and skills, the Fecto tag, and the dashboard. By creating an account or using Fecto you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use Fecto.
What Fecto does
Fecto checks a website, prices one result at a time, and charges only when its own check shows the result was met. The changes are made by your coding agent (for example Claude Code, Codex or Cursor) in your own repository, or by you. Fecto does not access your repository and does not change your site itself.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms, for yourself or for the business you represent.
- Keep your sign-in details safe. You’re responsible for what happens under your account, including what a coding agent you connect does with it.
- You can disconnect an agent or close your account at any time by writing to us.
Sites
- Anyone can scan a public website. To ask for plans and pay for results, a site must be yours or one you’re allowed to manage. Fecto confirms this by finding your site’s Fecto tag on its live home page.
- Don’t use Fecto to probe sites you don’t have the right to test, or to overload any site.
Plans and prices
- A plan names one goal, how it’s measured, the starting number, the target, the deadline and a fixed price. Prices and targets are set by Fecto’s rules, not negotiated by an AI.
- A plan only starts when you accept it yourself, in your browser. An agent can ask for a quote but can’t accept one.
- Accepting freezes the plan. The verifier checks against that frozen version only.
- Some plans are priced per part (a page group, a buyer question, a profile, a listing). Each part that passes is charged at its stated price, up to the plan's price; parts that don't pass, or that Fecto couldn't check, are $0.
- No site is charged more than $100 in a calendar month, whatever its plans add up to.
Verification and charges
- The verifier measures with Fecto’s own tools as described on the plan (a fresh scan, its published page checks, timed fetches of your home page, public pages it fetches, or conversions counted by the Fecto tag), with the rule versions frozen when you accepted. It does not use AI to decide and does not take input from the agent that did the work.
- Speed results count once two runs at least 7 days apart reach the target. Conversion goals are judged once, at the deadline.
- If the target is met by the deadline, the plan’s price is charged to the card you saved. If it isn’t met, or can’t be measured, you pay $0.
- You can ask for a check at any time before the deadline; Fecto also checks at the deadline.
- For 90 days after a met plan, Fecto re-checks it weekly with the same rules. If what you paid for has regressed, you get the steps to fix it again at no charge.
- If you think a check was wrong, write to us within 30 days. If we find a measuring error, we’ll correct the result and refund any charge it caused.
- While Fecto runs in test mode, met plans are recorded but nothing is charged.
- A listing you paid for doesn't count toward a listing goal; mark it as paid on the dashboard.
- Prices are in US dollars and don’t include taxes that may apply.
AI answers
AI answers change from one run to the next. A snapshot is one sample, not a score or a promise. Fecto doesn't sell being named by an AI assistant: off-site work (profiles, listings, pitches) is sent by you, and any goal about AI mentions is measured as a rate over many answers against a control, and offered only once Fecto's own results show such work raises it. Text from AI answers and third-party pages is shown as it came, and isn't Fecto's statement.
Changes to your site
Fecto gives playbooks and checks results; you and your agent decide what to change. Review every change before you merge or publish it. You’re responsible for your site, your repository and anything you deploy. Keep backups.
What you shouldn’t do
- Break the law, or use Fecto to harm people or other sites.
- Try to fool the verifier, for example with fake conversions, by serving different pages to Fecto or to AI bots than to people, or with hidden text aimed at AI assistants.
- Buy or fake reviews, or gate review requests to only happy customers.
- Get around limits, scrape Fecto, or resell it without our permission.
We may suspend accounts that do these things. Plans met by gaming the measure aren’t met.
Your data
Your site, your content and your data stay yours. How we handle personal data is in the Privacy policy.
No guarantees
Fecto is provided “as is”. We don’t promise that a plan’s result will lead to more traffic, sales or anything beyond the measure on the plan, or that Fecto will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid Fecto in the three months before the claim, and we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. A plan you already accepted keeps the terms it was accepted under.
